SVKS decided to suspend this Saturday’s classes to protect the health and wellbeing of students and teachers. All teachers, staff, and board members will do our best to help students to continue studying Korean culture and language. Below is a message from the board and the outline of three weeks’ classes.
Given the current situation, we will continue to suspend classes at SVKS. Last Saturday, teachers were introduced to online meetings. This was made possible through a donation of 50 temporary licenses by Bluejeans.com to our school. Barring a sudden improvement to the situation, our current plan is outlined below.
3/7 School closure: email announcement, 3/8-3/10: We will provide students with homework and supplementary materials. Teachers will continue to learn/practice how to conduct online classes.
3/14: School closure: Teacher training & Online class trial with students or parents
3/21: School closure: online classes
3/28: School closure: online classes
Thank you for your patience during this very difficult time. We will do everything we can to ensure that your children continue to have the opportunity to learn Korean and about Korean culture during the coming weeks and months.
